Oslo, NORWAY, February 28, 2023: Resoptima announced today the availability of a 2-day course in the RPS Training Course Portfolio, titled “Ensemble-Based Reservoir Modelling and Simulation”. The instructor is Martha Stunell, Resoptima VP Product. The course is currently scheduled to run twice, with an in-person offering in Norway in May then a virtual delivery in Q4.
Resoptima was the first company to introduce a commercial software offering for ensemble-centric, uncertainty-based reservoir modelling in 2013. In 2019 the offering was expanded to include 4D seismic in the data conditioning process and the same year a SaaS ensemble analytics solution was also launched. Resoptima staff provide services to apply their technologies to client datasets, as well as to train users on the operation of the software.
“The creation of a course dedicated to the fundamentals of ensemble-based reservoir modelling and simulation is welcome, in line with the broader adoption of these methods across the industry,” said Philippe Mieussens, VP Services at Resoptima, “It will be of great help not only to geoscientists and engineers who will be using these methods, but also the decision-makers who need to understand the rich amount of information at their disposal to assess risks and rewards for field development and stimulation projects.”
