Arne Skorstad named VP Energy Transition

Oslo, January 31 2023: Arne Skorstad is taking on the new role of VP of Energy Transition, overseeing all Resoptima activities linked to carbon storage (CCS), carbon abatement and geothermal. He will be steering the partnership with operators Aker BP and Sval Energi,  together with research institute NORCE, to develop algorithms to optimize reservoir production activities with the aim at CO2 abatement. He will also coordinate the commercial activities related to CCS and carbon abatement, as well as represent Resoptima at industry conferences focused on energy transformation.

Arne has over 30 years of experience from a range of executive and research positions at Roxar and the Norwegian Computing Center. He has extensive experience in geomodelling, geostatistics and reservoir characterization, as well as in software development.
Arne has a Master of Science in Industrial Mathematics from University of Trondheim (NTNU)
